Entry Description
The Indiana Department of Transportation will restrict lanes on Interstate 69 approaching the 231.4 mile marker in Delaware County this Wednesday and Thursday to facilitate replacement of nonworking in-road traffic sensors.
- 9 a.m. Wednesday—northbound I-69 left lane will close
- 1 p.m. Wednesday—northbound I-69 right lane will close
- 9 a.m. Thursday—southbound I-69 left lane will close
- 1 p.m. Thursday—southbound I-69 right lane will close
The I-69 231.4 mile marker is south of the State Road 67/Muncie By-Pass interchange at Daleville. Approaching traffic is expected to be impacted for half a mile by single-lane restrictions. Those restrictions should be lifted by 4:30 p.m. each day.
In-road sensors are configured as loops or straight-line installations. They are used for counting and classifying vehicles. |
