Temporary Closures for State Road 256 in Jefferson County
Series of Pipe Replacements Begin Monday
MADISON, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is announcing that beginning on Monday, December17, State Road 256 (S.R. 256) in Jefferson County will temporarily close for drainage improvements.
Maintenance crews will close S.R. 256 each day for cross pipe replacement, between S.R. 3 and S.R. 62 in Jefferson County. The closures will be daily, 5 days a week, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Completion is scheduled for one week, weather dependant. No through vehicle traffic will be allowed, however local residents will have access to the point of closure.
Detour: S.R. 56 East & West
