Entry Description ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces that the far left lane on northbound I-69, between Exit 315 (I-469) and Exit 316 (SR 1/Dupont Road), will be restricted through Monday night, December 10, to accommodate assembly of a new overhead box truss for signage.
Additionally, the 20-minute traffic stoppages previously scheduled for Saturday morning, December 8, have been moved to Monday night. All northbound lanes of I-69 will now experience up to three (3) 20-minute stoppages, starting after 9 p.m. on Monday, December 10, as crews lift the truss into place. The stoppages will be under assistance from Indiana State Police or the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
INDOT asks motorists to be aware of these scheduled stoppages. Drivers may wish to select alternate routes and/or plan accordingly for the traffic delays on I-69.
The interchange is expected to be open by end of this year, with the exception of the northbound on-ramp to I-69 from Union Chapel Road. The entire project will be complete by summer 2013.
INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone. For the latest news and information about INDOT, visit www.in.gov/indot.
