Entry Description
Celebrate a late 1800s-style Christmas with Spring Mill State Park at the annual Holiday in the Village on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 7 and 8.
The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday and from 1 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Visitors are invited to stroll through the Pioneer Village as heritage interpreters craft decorations, bake cookies and prepare for the holidays. Warm up at the village concession stand near one of two fireplaces while enjoying a bowl of ham and beans, or a cup of hot cocoa or coffee.
Wassail and cookies will be served in the village tavern both evenings, and children can follow the luminaries from the tavern for a visit with Father Christmas.
At 2 p.m. on Saturday at the gristmill, an interpreter portraying Mrs. Robert E. Lee will deliver a presentation on Civil War life and Christmas at Arlington. Live music will also be offered at 6:30 p.m. both evenings evening at the gristmill.
Park admission during the event is $5 per in-state vehicle and $7 per out-of-state vehicle.
