I-465 Paving Wednesday Night
From I-69 to Allisonville Road

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractors will restrict traffic lanes Wednesday night on I-465 between I-69 and Allisonville Road on the city’s northeast side.

Crews will restrict the left lane of westbound I-465 beginning at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14.  At midnight (12 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15), crews will also restrict the center lane for paving operations and to remove temporary barrier wall.  The lane restrictions are expected to end by 6 a.m. Thursday.

Three westbound lanes of I-465 are temporarily shifted to the right between I-69 and Allisonville Road as contractors replace uneven pavement in the left lane.  The ramp from southbound I-69 to westbound I-465 is temporarily reduced to a single lane that merges with the right lane of westbound I-465. 

I-465 in both directions will have a 45 mph work zone speed limit in effect when signs are flashing during working hours.  Drivers should reduce speeds on I-465 and the Allisonville Road ramps.  Drivers should be alert for construction workers in the area, heavy trucks entering and exiting the roadway and Indiana State Police patrolling the work zone.
