Entry Description
Indiana Department of Transportation maintenance workers are scheduled to repair a section of failing pavement located in the left lane of eastbound Interstate 74 at the 113.75 mile marker over the weekend. This requires closing the left eastbound lane—just east of State Road 9 at Shelbyville—between mile markers 113.0 and 114.5 starting Saturday morning at 4 o’clock.
Crews will saw cut and remove the slab of failing pavement from the eastbound “passing lane”—and pour a full-depth concrete patch in its place. Once poured, the new concrete must set up and cure before traffic can be allowed on it.
INDOT anticipates reopening the left eastbound I-74 lane before noon on Sunday. |
