Rail Crossing Repair to Close S.R. 111 in New Albany
One Day Closure for Repair
NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is advising motorists that State Road 111 (S.R. 111) will close on Monday, December 3, beginning at 9:00 a.m. to allow Norfolk Southern crews to rebuild the crossing surface near Corydon Pike. S.R. 111 will be closed between 10th Street and Jackson Street.
A detour will take westbound S.R. 111 traffic to west 10th Street, west on Floyd Street, north on Jackson Street, and back to S.R. 111. Eastbound traffic will travel south on Jackson Street, east on Floyd Street, and back to S.R. 111. Drivers can learn the locations of highway work zones ahead of time by visiting www.TrafficWise.in.gov or by calling 1-800-261-ROAD (7623).
