[INDOT] 4-way Stop Planned for SR 39 and SR 14, Pulaski Co.

Entry Description

PULASKI COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces the installation of a 4-way stop at the intersection of State Road 39 and State Road 14, located south of North Judson and west of Winamac. Previously east and westbound traffic on SR 14 had the right-of-way while north and southbound traffic on SR 39 was required to stop at stop signs.

 

The new 4-way intersection will take effect after crews install additional signage and safety devices on or after Monday, November 26th. In addition to stop signs with reflective tape for traffic on SR 14, crews will add “Stop Ahead” warning signs with flashing beacons, and paint “Stop” bars on the roadway.

 

This change at SR 39 and SR 14 was deemed necessary after INDOT traffic engineers studied the intersection and determined additional safety measures were needed.
