Please include the following statement from House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) in your coverage of Rep. Pelath being elected Minority Leader.

STATEHOUSE - “I congratulate Representative Scott Pelath as the new Minority Leader and look forward to working closely with him to move Indiana forward.  Scott is an honorable and thoughtful legislator, and I pledge to keep the lines of communication open and do my best to make him and his leadership team effective leaders of their caucus.

“We are living in challenging times as our state and nation continue to reboot after the recession. I look forward to hearing his ideas and to continue the path of transparency and integrity within our state government.

“I have consistently said that we will work with the willing, and work around those who are not. Even with a supermajority – this remains true.  Congratulations to Representative Pelath.”
