[DCS] DCS Appoints Crystal Williams Director in Pulaski County

WINAMAC, Ind. (Oct. 28, 2013)The Indiana Department of Child Services announced today Crystal Williams has been appointed the office director for the Indiana Department of Child Services, Pulaski County office. In her new role, Williams will set goals and objectives for child welfare management, helping to ensure children are protected from abuse or neglect. In addition, she will oversee a staff of four, including three family case managers. She will also handle general office operations. 


“We’re pleased Crystal has joined our Pulaski County team,” said Jane Bisbee, DCS’ Deputy Director of Field Operations. “With her diverse work background and case manager experience in the DCS office in neighboring Starke County, she is well suited for helping families in Pulaski County.”


A native of northwest Indiana, Williams was born in Plymouth and raised in Knox. She worked as the community services coordinator for the Starke County Prosecutor from 1995 to 1999. She then joined the Starke County Sheriff’s Department working first as the matron, and later, a 9-1-1 dispatcher. In 2008, Williams joined the Starke County office of DCS as a family case manager where she worked until her appointment as Pulaski County director. She holds a B.S. degree in psychology from St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Ind.


She began her new duties October 7.
