Jackson County: Last night troopers were called to 1105 Mockingbird Lane on a domestic disturbance which ultimately led to multiple felony charges against a Seymour man.  According to Trooper David Owsley, last night at approximately 11:40 he responded to the Mockingbird Lane residence on a report of a verbal domestic disturbance.  Upon arrival he discovered the male half of the disturbance had left the scene.  Jackson County deputies discovered 33-year-old Zachary O. Lyle of Seymour walking along U.S. 31 south of Seymour.  At this time, Tpr. Owsley reported no crime had been committed so the deputies released Lyle.

At approximately 1:15 a.m. troopers were called back to the residence and discovered Lyle had returned to the residence and allegedly battered the resident, 32-year-old Madeline Andrews but again, had fled the scene prior to trooper’s arrival. Troopers remained in the area and at approximately 2:20 a.m. Tpr. Owsley discovered Lyle looking into a window at the residence and took him into custody without incident.  He was taken to Jackson County Jail where he is facing charges of Domestic Battery in the Presence of a Child (Class D Felony), two counts of Intimidation (Class D Felony), Resisting Law Enforcement (Class A Misdemeanor), Disorderly Conduct (Class B Misdemeanor), and Public Intoxication (Class B Misdemeanor).
