Muncie – Last evening around 11:30 p.m. Pendleton Meth Suppression Troopers, assisted by U.S. Marshalls, located and captured a man wanted on Felony warrants for Methamphetamine offenses here in Delaware County.

Adam J. Rutledge, age 34, was arrested in the area of 211 South Jefferson Street in downtown Muncie after a short foot pursuit.  Officers had sought Rutledge after he failed to appear in court on charges stemming from an Indiana State Police Methamphetamine investigation. The investigation had been ongoing for nearly three months.

Rutledge was arrested on a warrant for Failure to Appear for Dealing in Methamphetamine, Class “B” Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine, Class “C” Felony, Possession of the Precursors used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine and Maintaining a Common Nuisance, both Class “D” Felonies.

Rutledge was lodged in the Delaware County Jail.   Further charges are pending, and other arrests could be made in the case as the investigation is ongoing. Often times Meth Labs are found as a result of an anonymous tip from a neighbor or friend.
