[INDOT] SR 1/SR 427 in Hamilton Scheduled for Closure on Monday, September 10

Entry Description
STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces that SR 1/SR 427 (N. Wayne Street) in Hamilton is scheduled to be closed on Monday, September 10, weather permitting, to accommodate replacement of the bridge over Hamilton Lake Spillway, between E. Bellefountaine Road and SR 427.

The official detour is from US 6 to I-69 to US 20 to SR 1.

The bridge requires rehabilitation for continued safety to the traveling public. Work is scheduled to be complete by late October 2012. The contract for the project was awarded to H.I.S., based on the low bid of $978,000.
