Sen. Tom Wyss (R-Fort Wayne) made the following statement today praising area schools for earning ‘A’ grades in Indiana’s 2011-2012 school year performance review:
STATEHOUSE (Oct. 31, 2012) — “I am proud of our schools’ achievement and dedication to our students’ academic success. With so many schools receiving ‘A’ grades, it is clear that as our children grow, they will continue to find excellent education in the Fort Wayne community. Thank you to all those who have made this accomplishment possible.”
The schools include:
- Arlington Elementary School
- Carroll High School
- Cedar Canyon Elementary School
- Eel River Elementary School
- Fred H. Croninger Elementary School
- Hickory Center Elementary School
- Huntertown Elementary School
- Lincoln Elementary School
- Lindley Elementary School
- Maple Creek Middle School
- Nebraska Elementary School
- Oak View Elementary School
- Robert C. Harris Elementary School
- Saint Joseph Central School
- Washington Center Elementary School
- Washington Elementary School
At today’s State Board of Education meeting, Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Tony Bennett announced that more than 61 percent of Indiana’s schools received A or B letter grades for the 2011-2012 school year.
