Entry Description State Sen. Johnny Nugent (R-Lawrenceburg) made the following statement today praising Bartholomew, Dearborn, Decatur, Jennings, Ohio and Ripley county schools for earning ‘A’ grades in Indiana’s 2011-2012 school year performance review:
STATEHOUSE (Oct. 31, 2012) — “It’s not very often that our schools get the recognition they deserve for their support of Hoosier children,” Nugent said. “Today, I specifically applaud the parents, teachers and administrative staff of those schools in our communities who earned A’s for their performance. Your hard work and dedication to the highest academic standards has paid off. Congratulations on a job well done.”

• Rockcreek Elementary School
• Dillsboro Elementary School
• Manchester Elementary School
• South Decatur Elementary School
• Greensburg Community High School
• Greensburg Community Junior High School
• Greensburg Elementary School
• Graham Creek Elementary School
• Hayden Elementary School
• Brush Creek Elementary School
• South Ripley Junior High School
• South Ripley Elementary School
At today’s State Board of Education meeting, Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Tony Bennett announced that more than 61 percent of Indiana’s schools received A or B letter grades for the 2011-2012 school year.
