[IEDC] Payroll Service Provider Relocates Headquarters to Indianapolis
Start Date: 10/26/2012Start Time: 12:00 AM

Entry Description

INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 26, 2012) – Beyond Payroll, LLC, a provider of payroll and human resources services, announced plans today to relocate its headquarters from Fort Lauderdale, Fla. to here, creating up to 59 new jobs by 2016.

The company will lease, renovate and equip 2,000 square feet of space in the Stutz Building. The new Indianapolis office, which opened its doors in September, houses the company’s management personnel department.
“Beyond Payroll is joining a growing list of companies moving to the Hoosier State because of our pro-business policies,” said Governor Daniels. “Today’s announcement is a tribute to the talent of Hoosier workers and the business climate we’ve worked diligently to establish since day one of this administration.”

Beyond Payroll is actively recruiting managerial, sales and client services personnel in Indianapolis. Interested applicants can apply at

“All of us at Beyond Payroll are thrilled to be a part of the Indy community,” said Corey Koopmans, chief executive officer of Beyond Payroll. “We chose Indiana for our company headquarters because of its growing tech community, for its upbeat metropolitan feel and because the Midwest work ethic and Hoosier hospitality are ideal for our client services and implementation departments. Although we are eager to penetrate many of the major markets across the United States, a Midwest home base was the best fit for our company’s culture and service model.”

Founded in 2009 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the company provides payroll products from all of the major payroll providers including ADP, Paychex and Ceridian. Beyond Payroll also partners with companies in related industries such as retirement services, workers compensation and benefits. While Beyond Payroll’s technology allows for integration with many retirement service products, workers compensation policies and benefit plans, the company does not sell those ancillary products directly.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Beyond Payroll, LLC up to $550,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $60,000 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The city of Indianapolis also supports the project at the request of Develop Indy.

"Indianapolis' pro-growth, pro-business climate and stable, predictable tax structure are some of the reasons we continue to attract top-tier companies such as Beyond Payroll," said Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard. "Beyond Payroll is revolutionizing the payroll industry, and we are pleased the company has chosen to expand operations here."

Beyond Payroll’s announcement comes just a month after First Advantage also announced plans to relocate its headquarters from Florida to Central Indiana. The talent acquisition provider will invest $3.7 million to move its operations from St. Petersburg, Fla. to Fishers, adding 100 new jobs by 2015.

About IEDC
Created by Governor Mitch Daniels in 2005 to replace the former Department of Commerce, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation is governed by a 12-member board chaired by Governor Daniels. Dan Hasler serves as the chief executive officer of the IEDC.
The IEDC oversees programs enacted by the General Assembly including tax credits, workforce training grants and public infrastructure assistance. All tax credits are performance-based. Therefore, companies must first invest in Indiana through job creation or capital investment before incentives are paid. A company who does not meet its full projections only receives a percentage of the incentives proportional to its actual investment. For more information about IEDC, visit
