Entry Description
The release of the 2011 Indiana Judicial Service Report and Indiana Probation Report offer the press and public an opportunity to review court operations at the county and statewide level. Chief Justice Brent E. Dickson and Division of State Court Administration Executive Director Lilia Judson will discuss the reports at an upcoming media availability.

The 1,725 page, multi-volume report contains an enormous volume of facts and statistics regarding the operations of Indiana’s trial and appellate courts. Examples include:
• Newly filed cases, by case type
• Cases decided by a jury
• The languages used by court interpreters
• How many people volunteered for CASA
• Adults and juveniles being supervised by Indiana court probation departments
• Operation costs
• The number of attorneys/judges disciplined by the Supreme Court
• The number of appellate court opinions handed down
• The location, month and number of oral arguments held
The reports are produced by the Supreme Court’s Division of State Court Administration and required by Indiana statute (IC 33-24-6-3) and Supreme Court administrative rules. |
