Entry Description Ouabache State Park will host its annual Fall Fest, Oct. 26 and 27.
Visitors can listen to music and go on a hike, or let autumn be their muse in a variety of activities that encourage creativity through friendly competition.
Friday evening activities include Foster Brown’s “Nature Theatre” music and an “If Animals Could Talk” guided trail hike, both from 7-9 p.m.
On Saturday, there will be pumpkin and plastic jug decorating from 2-4 p.m. A limited supply of pumpkins will be available. Families should plan to bring their own pumpkins and plastic jugs. Completed pumpkins and jugs should be at the Campview Shelter by 5 p.m. for the decorating contest.
Visitors can also decorate their campsites for the campsite decorating contest.
Contest winners will be announced during an 8:30 p.m. awards ceremony with cider and s’mores.
Other Saturday programs are “Autumn Art” at 1 p.m.; “Fabulous Fall Activities,” including pumpkin and jug decorating, from 2-4 p.m.; Trick or Treat from 5-6 p.m.; and straw rides, and campsite and pumpkin judging at 7 p.m.
Camping reservations may be made at camp.IN.gov or at (866) 622-6746.
The standard gate fee of $5 per in-state vehicle and $7 per out-of–state vehicle will be charged.
