In observance of Henry David Thoreau’s birthday, Prophetstown State Park is holding Open Nature Poetry Night Saturday, July 12 at 6:30 p.m.  Have you visited Prophetstown State Park and felt inspired by the grasses, flowers, and other wildness around you? Share your work at this open forum poetry reading.

Who:  Children and adults, first time and lifelong poets
What: 25 lines or less in any style expressing your thoughts, feelings, memories, etc about anything connected to our park
When: Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Prairie View Picnic Area, Prophetstown State Park

This program is free and open to the public after paying the gate admission fee of $6/carload (in-state) or $8/carload (out-of-state).
