[INDOT] Public Information Meeting regarding the I-465 / I-65 interchange modification and reconstruction project, south side of Indianapolis, Marion County

Entry Description

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will hold a public information meeting regarding the I-465 and I-65 interchange modification and reconstruction project on the southeast side of Indianapolis, Marion County.  This project is part of Operation Indy Commute.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide residents and project stakeholders with an update regarding construction related activities for the project, including noise wall placement.  INDOT last met with the community in October of 2012 and since that time, additional evaluation and study have taken place in regards to noise mitigation measures.  INDOT has approved an updated noise impact analysis report (dated June 4, 2014) which may be viewed by visiting the project web page http://www.IndyCommute.indot.in.gov.

With advance notice, INDOT can make accommodations for persons with disabilities who would like to attend and participate during the public meeting.  If you require accommodations such as auxiliary aids for sight and/or hearing impaired persons, please contact INDOT’s Office of Public Involvement at (317) 232-6601 rclark@indot.in.gov.  Additionally, if you are an individual with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) and require accommodations such as language interpretation/translation services, please contact INDOT’s Office of Public Involvement.

 

The meeting will feature an open house session beginning at 5:00 p.m. followed by a formal presentation at 6:00 p.m.  During the open house session INDOT representatives will be available to address questions, comments and concerns.  Project maps and displays will be available for viewing throughout the duration of the evening.  In addition, informational packets will be distributed to attendees and information will be posted to the project website http://www.IndyCommute.indot.in.gov  following the meeting.
