[ISP] Kentucky Man Receives Sentence of 65 Years for 2012 Murder

Spencer County: An Owensboro, KY man was sentenced to the maximum of 65 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections for killing a Hancock County, KY man and dumping his body in Spencer County in 2012.

On February 28, Randall Lee Riley, 39, Owensboro, KY, plead guilty to murdering Brian L. Cain, 36, Lewisport, KY in May, 2012. Riley disposed of Cain’s body in a collapsed barn east of Grandview. Today, Riley’s plea agreement was accepted by Spencer County Judge Jon Dartt. Riley will serve an executed sentence of 50 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections, and an additional 15 years on probation.

The arrest and conviction came as a result of a joint effort between investigators with the Indiana State Police and members of the Spencer County Sheriff’s Department. Spencer County Prosecutor Kelly Corne commended the hard work and effort of all law enforcement involved with the case.
