[ISP] Interstates Remain Ice Covered Due to Cold Temperatures
Start Date: 1/6/2014Start Time: 12:00 AM
End Date: 1/6/2014
Entry Description
Email and Web Body

Troopers in the Pendleton District are reporting numerous slide offs on I-70 from the 135 mile marker to the 153 mile maker. While the roadway looks clear, it actually has a thin layer of ice that makes driving conditions treacherous. I-69 in northern Delaware County has also experienced a growing number of slide offs due to icy conditions.

First Sergeant Tim Kaiser of the Pendleton Post would like to remind the public, “Just because the road looks clear or the sun is shining, doesn’t mean driving conditions aren’t treacherous. Remember, salt and sand doesn’t work in these windy sub-zero conditions. Please slow down and increase your following distance as roadways in the Pendleton District remain ice covered and slick.”
