Entry Description
Harrison County-This morning shortly after 7:30 am, a silver 2009 Kia Spectra, driven by Anthony L Schlicher, 22, from West Posey Chapel Road in Salem, (Washington County), was travelling west on U. S. Highway 150 near Gettlefinger Road in Harrison County when for an unknown reason the vehicle he was driving crossed the center line and struck a silver 2003 Saturn Ion driven by Lisa M. Wilson, 45, from Hayes Court in Palmyra. The preliminary investigation reveals Lisa M. Wilson made attempts to avoid the collision but was unable to do so.
Lisa M. Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Harrison County Coroner’s Office. Anthony L Schlicher was transported to University Hospital in Louisville, KY with life threatening injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. There were no passengers in the vehicles.
A crash reconstruction team from the Indiana State Police is reconstructing this crash. Harrison County Fire and E. M. S. assisted at the scene. |
