West Side I-465 Lane Restrictions
To Replace Pavement Sensors
INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractors will restrict traffic lanes on Interstate 465 during overnight hours this week to replace pavement sensors in the roadway.
On Monday, March 4 at 10 p.m. the left lane of northbound I-465 will be restricted just south of Exit 19 to 56th Street until approximately 1 a.m., when the restriction will switch to the two right lanes at the same location. All restrictions are expected to end by 5 a.m. Tuesday, March 5.
On Tuesday, March 5 at 10 p.m., the two left lanes of southbound I-465 will be restricted between 56th Street (Exit 19) and 38th Street (Exit 17) until approximately 1 a.m. At 1 a.m., the restriction will switch to the three right lanes of southbound I-465 at the same location. All restrictions are expected to end by 5 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6.
Crews will replace sensors in each lane that are used to continuously collect data, such as vehicle size and traffic volumes. All ramps are expected to remain open during the operations. |
