Entry Description

STATEHOUSE (March 1, 2013) – State Sen. Vaneta Becker (R-Evansville) welcomed Clint Johnson and Kurt Roeder, both Castle North Middle School students from Newburgh, to the Statehouse as Senate pages in February.

 

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing some debates from the chamber floor and interacting with their state senators.

 

“It was such a pleasure to have Clint and Kurt serve as pages for the Senate,” Becker said. “I know it can be a long drive from Newburgh, but I hope they found this unique opportunity beneficial and informative. They’re great young men.”

 

Students in grades six through 12 can participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays through April 4.
