BOONVILLE, IND. (February 28, 2013)—The Indiana Department of Child Services announced today Trina Russell has been appointed local director of the Warrick County office of DCS. In her new role Trina will set goals and objectives for child welfare management helping to ensure children are protected from abuse or neglect. In addition, she’ll oversee a team of 15 that includes family case managers, supervisors and clerical staff. She’ll also handle general office operations.
“We’re very pleased Trina will be managing day-to-day operations in our Warrick County office,” said Dave Judkins, DCS’ Deputy Director of Field Operations. “She has spent most of her career helping children and her years of practical job experience as both a family case manager and a supervisor should benefit families in her county for years to come.”
Born in Seymour, Indiana, Trina has a degree in sociology from Hanover College. Previously she worked as an education coordinator for Childplace Treatment Services in Jeffersonville and then as an employment case manager for Bridgepoint Goodwill and Easter Seals in Clarksville. Trina joined DCS as a family case manager in the Harrison County office in 2002. She worked as a supervisor in the Vanderburgh County office from 2007 until her recent appointment as director in Warrick County.
Trina began her new duties February 25.
The Warrick County office of the Indiana Department of Child Services is located at 1302 Millis Avenue in Boonville. To report child abuse or neglect, call the child abuse/neglect hotline: 800.800.5556.
