Entry Description
Parke County—Detectives from the Putnamville Post of the Indiana State Police have arrested a Parke County man for alleged child molesting. The female victims, ages two and three, were acquaintances of the suspect.
Arrested: Raymond H. Cooprider, age 51, of rural southeastern Parke County
Charges: Two counts of Child Molesting, Class C felony
Bond: $15,000 no 10% Held in the Parke County Jail.
Raymond Cooprider is alleged to have fondled the victims on January 22, 2013 during a visit to his residence. The alleged acts were initially reported to the Indiana Department of Child Services with DCS reporting the violations to Indiana State Police on January 24, 2013.
Cooprider was arrested without incident Thursday, February 21 at the home of a family member in Clay County.
The case was investigated by ISP Detective Brian Maudlin. Assisting were Trooper Michael Featherling, Indiana Department of Child Services, and the Parke County Prosecutor’s Office.
Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. |
