Overnight I-69 Restrictions
This Weekend at SR 37

FISHERS, Ind. – Contractors for the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) are planning traffic restrictions on I-69 Friday and Saturday nights for work on the new State Road 37 flyover bridge.

Milestone Contractors will restrict the left lane of northbound and southbound I-69 between Cumberland Road and 116^th Street Friday and Saturday nights from  8 p.m. until 5 a.m.  All exit ramps will remain open at all times.

Improvements to the northbound exit configuration and a new two-lane flyover ramp to State Road 37 are expected to be complete before improvements to the southbound side of the interchange begin sometime this spring.  A second contract will rebuild the median shoulder to add a southbound travel lane between 116^th Street and I-465 and will also construct auxiliary lanes to connect interchange ramps between 82^nd, 96^th and 116^th Streets.  All work is expected to be complete by the end of 2013.

INDOT plans to present details and updates to the public at an Operation Indy Commute – I-69 project open house on Monday, February 25 at the Fishers Train Station.  Project team members will be available to answer questions from 5 to 7:30 p.m., and a formal presentation beginning at 6 p.m. will outline the project schedule—including one temporary ramp closure to expect during the 2013 construction season.
