Rep. Lehe honors National FFA Organization
STATEHOUSE - State Representative Don Lehe (R-Brookston) along with Rep. Jim Baird (R-Greencastle) recognized the National FFA Organization Monday during session to kick off National FFA week.
The General Assembly hosted more than 100 FFA members at the Statehouse. The students took a tour, met with leadership and participated in both the House and Senate Page Programs, allowing them to get a first-hand look at the legislative process.
“It was a real treat to have so many FFA members visit the House,” Rep. Lehe said. “As the chairman of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee, I understand the crucial role these students play in the future of our country’s agriculture industry. I appreciate their hard work and know that they will have a positive impact on our state.”
Adam Marvell paged for Rep. Lehe and had the opportunity to work closely with him and his colleagues.
Indiana’s National FFA Organization chapters contribute to many communities in Indiana. They raise more than $600,000 annually to support student leadership activities, career development events and scholarships.
