INVESTIGATORS REQUEST INFORMATION IN DAVIESS COUNTY FIRE
Up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
WASHINGTON, IN - Local and state authorities are asking for the public’s help as they look for the suspect(s) responsible for setting a vacant Washington, Indiana home on fire last month. The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office is offering up to a $5,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to an arrest.
The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office is a division of the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
The Washington Fire Department, the Washington Police Department, and the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the fire that occurred on January 14, 2013 at 1504 Jackson Street. Two firefighters were injured in the fire. The fire caused $63,000 worth of damage.
There were no utilities connected to the house, and investigators determined the fire was intentionally set.
Authorities are encouraging anyone with information about this fire, no matter how insignificant the information may seem, to call the State Fire Marshal’s Arson Hotline.

The number for the State Fire Marshal’s hotline is 1-800-382-4628. The hotline is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Callers could receive up to a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest of the person(s) responsible. Citizens can remain anonymous. All names will be kept confidential.
