Overnight I-70 Lane Restrictions
To Replace Pavement Sensors
INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractors will restrict traffic lanes on Interstate 70 Monday and Tuesday nights to replace pavement sensors in the roadway.
On Monday, February 25 at 10 p.m., the two left lanes of westbound I-70 will be restricted near Emerson Avenue (Exit 87) until 2 a.m. At 2 a.m., the restriction will switch to the two right lanes at the same location. All restrictions are expected to end by 6 a.m. on Tuesday, February 26.
On Tuesday, February 26 at 10 p.m., the restrictions will resume on the westbound side of I-70 in the two left lanes. The restriction will shift to the two right lanes at 2 a.m., and all restrictions will end by 6 a.m. Wednesday, February 27.
Crews will replace sensors in each lane that are used to continuously collect data, such as vehicle size and traffic volumes. |
