Entry Description
Rochester – Recently, a criminal investigation by Indiana State Police Detective Josh Rozzi resulted in the arrest of James L. Foster, 56, Rochester, IN, on four felony counts of identity deception. Foster was incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail after he was served an arrest warrant by Fulton County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Sailors.
Rozzi started a criminal investigation after receiving information that Foster was allegedly using the identification of a deceased man, Paul Bennett, to obtain pseudoephedrine at area pharmacies. Rozzi’s investigation revealed that Foster was a family friend of Bennett. Somehow, after Bennett died in April 2010, Foster was able to obtain Bennett’s driver’s license. Bennett and Foster have similar attributes.
The investigation revealed that between June 15, 2012 and December 29, 2012, Foster allegedly displayed Bennett’s license while signing for pseudoephedrine on four separate occasions, at a Fulton County pharmacy.
