End Date: 2/8/2013End Time: 11:59 PM
Entry Description
STATEHOUSE (Feb. 8, 2013) – State Sen. Carlin Yoder (R-Middlebury) recently welcomed the following students to the Statehouse, where they served as Senate pages:

  • Hannah Kemper, a homeschooled student from Goshen.
  • Jacquelyn Kemper, a homeschooled student from Goshen.
  • Luke Osborn, a Northridge Middle School student from Middlebury.

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing some debates from the chamber floor and interacting with their state senators.

“As always, I am eager to have students from our district visit the Statehouse and learn about the legislative process,” Yoder said. “I encourage others to make the Capitol their classroom for a day and experience the General Assembly in action.”

Students in grades six through 12 can participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays through April 4.

To learn how you can register your student to serve as a Senate page, visit www.in.gov/senatepageprogram.
