Entry Description
Plainfield, IN- Early this afternoon, at 2:09 p.m., Indiana State Police responded to I-70 WB in the area of the 66 mm (CR 725, Bottom Road) to the report of a crash involving over two dozen vehicles that left at least ten people injured.
The investigation is in the very early stages, but it appears that weather, in the form of snow burst, is a contributing factor in this crash. This very complicated crash is still under investigation. When a final determination has been made about the total number of vehicles involved and the exact number injured, updated information will be released.
All lanes of I-70 EB from SR 39 were opened at 7:43 p.m.
All lanes of I-70 WB from SR 267 are expected to be open prior to 10:00 p.m. |
