End Date: 7/31/2013End Time: 11:59 PM
Entry Description

Vigo County—The third suspect in the sexual assault case involving a 14-year-old Terre Haute female is currently in the custody of the Indiana State Police.

This afternoon, Christopher Ivan Lucio Hayden, age 19, of Terre Haute, IN. surrendered himself to Indiana State Police officers at the Putnamville Post. Hayden had been wanted on a Vigo County arrest warrant for Child Exploitation, C felony and Possession of Child Pornography, D felony.

An Indiana State Police investigation revealed that on or around June 30, 2013, a 14-year-old female became intoxicated and somewhat incapacitated at a private party near downtown Terre Haute. Friends and acquaintances then assisted her in leaving and took the young female with them to a hotel on the south side of Terre Haute. As she lay unconscious in the room, she was reportedly sexually assaulted by Peter Tanoos II and Tucker Ray. Pornographic images of the assault were allegedly recorded by Hayden then surfaced multiple times around the community. Tanoos and Ray turned themselves in late yesterday afternoon at the Vigo County Jail.

Hayden is currently in the custody of the Indiana State Police and is expected to be incarcerated in the Vigo County Jail around 4:00 to 4:30 this afternoon. Hayden’s bond is set at $50,000, no 10%.

Hayden had been out of town on family business when he became aware of the warrant, subsequently turning himself in this afternoon.
