Henry County – Seven people were arrested last night just before 11 p.m. after members of the Pendleton District Meth Suppression Squad followed tips and leads that led them to an outdoor meth lab. The lab, located in a wooded area in the 4000 block of SR 103, was on land none of the seven owned or had permission to use.

Arrested was Jessica McDavid, age 27 of New Castle; Kevin Dwenger, age 24 of New Castle; Jeramey Stigall, age 29 of New Castle; Michelle Grigsby, age 34 of New Castle, and Michael Grey, age 32 of Muncie. All are charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Class “B” Felony, Possession of the Precursors used to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine and Maintaining a Common Nuisance, all Class “D” Felonies.

Also arrested was Misty Morgan, age 29, charged with all of the above felonies as well as Neglect of a Dependent, Class “D” Felony. Morgan had a six year old child with her at the lab. The child was turned over to Henry County Department of Child Services.

Nathan Pierce, age 30 of New Castle, was also arrested at the scene and charged with Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Class “D” Felony. Further investigation by officers found that Kevin Dwenger was also wanted on a warrant for Probation Violation. He and Jessica McDavid had Resisting Law Enforcement, Class “A” Misdemeanor added to their charges after they jumped in the river in an attempt to escape officers.

The Meth Suppression Squad was assisted by the Henry County Drug Task Force, Henry County Sheriff’s Department, Shirley Police Department K-9 Unit, Henry County Department of Child Services and the Henry County Prosecutor’s Office.
