State Sen. Jim Smith (R-Charlestown) welcomed Congressman Todd Young (CD-9) to the Statehouse Thursday. Young addressed members of the Senate, highlighting Indiana’s strengths and sharing his optimism for the state’s future growth. “Congressman Young delivered an important message about the balance of power between the states and Washington, and the value of keeping government close to the people,” Smith said. “His comments certainly resonated with me and others in the Senate, and I’m grateful to have such a strong relationship with Indiana’s leaders at the federal level.”
