On 01/23/2012, just before 9:00 PM, the Indiana State Police Meth Task force located an active methamphetamine laboratory at 1021 N Summitt Street in Bloomington. Troopers working the investigation were led to the address where they located items used to manufacture methamphetamine, reaction vessels, methamphetamine and paraphernalia used to ingest methamphetamine.

Hazardous chemicals removed from the residence included sodium hydroxide lye, organic solvents such as starting fluid, ammonium nitrate, lithium, muriatic acid, pseudoephedrine and sulfuric acid. Many of these chemicals were found to have been combined to produce methamphetamine.

Four children inside the residence ranging in age from five months to four years old, were placed in protective custody by Child Protective Services.

Methamphetamine laboratories represent a serious health and safety risk to anyone in the area. Child Protective Services ensure a safe environment for the children along with ensuring they receive medical attention for possible inhalation or contamination illnesses from the dangerous chemicals.

The Bloomington City Police department assisted with the investigation.

Joshua Scroggins, 27 of Bloomington;

Possession of precursors with intent to manufacture methamphetamine "D" Felony
Maintaining a Common Nuisance "D" Felony
Possession of methamphetamine "D" Felony
Neglect of a dependant (4 Counts) "D" Felony
Possession of paraphernalia "A" misdemeanor

Misty Chambers, 21 of Bloomington;

Manufacturing Methamphetamine in a government housing complex "A" Felony
Possession of precursors with intent to manufacture methamphetamine "D" Felony
Maintaining a Common Nuisance "D" Felony
Possession of methamphetamine "D" Felony
Neglect of a dependant (4 Counts) "D" Felony
Possession of paraphernalia "A" misdemeanor

Dale McCutcheon, 29 of Bloomington;

Visiting a common nuisance "A" misdemeanor

All Suspects Are Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law
