Entry Description
Gibson County – Monday afternoon, January 21, Oakland City Police Officer Tim Gaines and Trooper John Davis approached a driver that had parked his 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck in a no-parking zone in front of the Shell gas station located on SR 64 near West Street in Oakland City. The driver was identified as Timothy Haggard, 35, of Evansville. A wanted checked quickly revealed he was wanted out of Vanderburgh County for two failure to appear misdemeanor warrants. During a pat-down search, officers found two plastic corner baggies containing meth, two Xanax pills and one Lortab pill in his front pocket. While talking to Haggard, officers also detected a strong odor commonly associated with manufacturing meth coming from the truck. Officers searched the truck and found a backpack behind the driver’s seat that contained meth, a smoking pipe, digital scales, 120 pseudoephedrine pills, coffee filters and paper towels that had a strong chemical odor. Haggard was arrested and taken to the Gibson County Jail where he is currently being held on bond.
