Entry Description
Parker City – Today around 12:36 p.m. Pendleton Trooper Lee Tinch was on SR 32 in Parker City when he drove up on a serious crash at SR 32 and County Road 1200 West. A 2010 Silverado Pickup had driven northbound across SR32 on County Road 1200 and left the roadway on the right striking a utility pole.
Emergency crews were called to the scene and transported the driver, James K. Love, age 83 of Parker City, to Ball Hospital in Muncie in critical condition. It is unknown at this time why the truck failed to stop at SR32, or why it left the right side of the roadway. The crash investigation is ongoing.
Trooper Tinch was assisted at the scene by Trooper Eric Perkins, Parker City Police and Randolph County EMS. Running off the road on the right continues to be one of the leading causes of fatal crashes in Indiana. The Indiana State Police remain committed to reducing crashes and patrolling in high crash areas. We continue to monitor the top causes for crashes, and concentrating enforcement efforts on these causes. |
