| [ISP] ISP and Lawrence County Deputies Solve Several Burglaries, Resulting in Numerous Felony Arrests |

Entry Description
On Sunday, January 6, 2013, Trooper Zach Robbins and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Andrew Phillips took a report of a Burglary that occurred at Gullets Creek Baptist Church on Trogdon Lane in Lawrence County.
On Sunday, January 13, 2013, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department received complaints of Burglary at six additional churches in Lawrence County. These included the Fayetteville Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church, Hilltop Pentecostal Church, Popcorn Christian Church, Spice Valley Church of Christ and the First Baptist Church.
Probable Cause of a suspect was built and established as a result of extensive and dedicated teamwork amongst the Indiana State Police and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. ISP Sergeant Greg Day and Trooper Zach Robbins worked with Sheriff’s Detectives Cody Medlock and Tyler Phillips, along with Deputies Andrew Phillips and Lonnie Johnson.
Teamwork proved to be key in such a quick resolution.
A search of the residence at 508 Old Needmore School Road in Lawrence County resulted in the recovery of all the stolen items reported.
Zachary C. Stevens, 25, was arrested, transported to and incarcerated at the Lawrence County Jail on January 15, 2013.
Stevens was charged with the following offenses:
Burglary, Class B Felony, (7 Counts)
Theft, Class D Felony, (6 Counts)
Criminal Mischief, Class A Misdemeanor, (6 Counts)
Possession of Marijuana, Class D Felony, (1 Count)
Possession of Controlled Substance, Class D Felony, (1 Count)
Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Class D Felony, (1 Count)
