Gibson County – Thursday afternoon, January 3, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Indiana State Police arrested Rebecca Rueger, 51, of Evansville, after a criminal investigation revealed she allegedly embezzled nearly $60,000 while she was employed as the business manager at Transcendent Health Care in Owensville.
Indiana State Police initiated a criminal investigation in June 2012 after administrators at the health care facility noticed funds were missing from their accounts. During the investigation, Detective Tobias Odom revealed Rueger had embezzled nearly $60,000 for her personal use between October 2008 and March 2012. Rueger was arrested at her residence without incident and taken to the Gibson County Jail. She was later released after posting a $2,500 cash bond.
