Entry Description
State Sen. Jean Leising (R-Oldenburg) made the following statement today in response to Gov. Mike Pence’s State of the State Address:
STATEHOUSE (Jan. 22, 2013) — “I commend Governor Pence for making jobs the top priority on his agenda to move Indiana forward. We must put our state — especially our rural areas — on a path to improve the economy by promoting expanded opportunities for every resident and every family in every community. The foundation for this is continuing to encourage job creation, not only through sound fiscal policies and reduction in government regulation, but also by funding K-12 and higher education initiatives including vocational programs.
“I also applaud Governor Pence for recommending additional funding for the Department of Child Services, which will allow our state to better serve children in need.”
