Temporary I-70 Restriction
For Overhead Utility Line

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will permit a temporary rolling closure on Interstate 70 early Sunday morning to allow an overhead utility line to cross the interstate.

 

Indiana State Police will slow both directions of traffic on I-70 approaching the Lynhurst Drive overpass, which is between I-465 and Sam Jones Expressway, sometime between 6:30 a.m and 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 20. 

 

The permit allows for a traffic stop of up to 20 minutes. However, these events typically last only a few minutes.
