Entry Description
STATEHOUSE (Jan. 15, 2013) – Statewide grassroots organizations — including parents, teachers and other supporters from across Indiana — will hold a Statehouse rally tomorrow in support of State Sen. Scott Schneider’s (R-Indianapolis) proposal to withdraw Indiana schools from Common Core State Standards. National education experts and Schneider are scheduled to speak at the rally.

The rally will precede a 1:30 p.m. Senate committee hearing on Schneider’s legislation, Senate Bill 193. The Education and Career Development Committee will hear public testimony on the bill in the Senate chamber.
