Entry Description
Warrick County – Monday afternoon, September 24, Sergeant Tom Weber was off duty and driving his marked patrol car on Stacer Road when he observed the driver of a 2003 Mercedes Benz pass a school bus that had stopped at Cricklewood to unload children. The red lights on the bus were flashing and the stop arm was extended when the driver made the illegal pass. Sergeant Weber stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Shane Hunter, 27, of Newburgh. While talking to Hunter a strong odor of marijuana was detected inside the vehicle. Sergeant Weber discovered a smoking pipe and a bag of marijuana inside a back pack located on the front seat. Hunter was arrested and taken to the Warrick County Jail. He was later released after posting bond.

Shane Hunter, 27, 5899 Lisa Lane, Newburgh, IN
1. Reckless Driving – Passing a School Bus while Loading or Unloading, Class B Misdemeanor
2. Possession of Marijuana, Class A Misdemeanor
3. Possession of Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor
Arresting Officers: Sergeant Tom Weber and Trooper Keith Schmitz
