Entry Description
Marshall County – Shortly after 8:00 a.m. Monday morning, the Marshall County Dispatch Center advised officers of an erratic driver on US 30 near Plymouth. Further investigation by police led officers to a mobile meth lab and a stolen car.
Bremen Post Commander, Lieutenant Jim Strong, spotted the suspected vehicle east bound on US 30 near Oak Road. The driver of the 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix was stopped for a traffic violation and later identified as Bradley C. Shopoff, 49, of Ft. Wayne. During routine questioning it was discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Ft. Wayne and a methamphetamine laboratory was also located in the car.
Passengers in the vehicle, Terrence L. Welch, 41, of Ft. Wayne, Joshua B. Baughman, 22, of Fremont, and Dana M. Moon, 22, of Angola, were arrested with Shopoff. All four suspects were taken to the Marshall County jail and face charges of manufacturing and dealing methamphetamine.
The state police was assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, the Plymouth Police Department, and the Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Section.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. |
