Entry Description
Jasper County-Thursday, September 14th, 2012, the Indiana State Police responded to a 911 call about a woman being injured/unresponsive on the shoulder of I-65 south bound at the 211 mile marker (this is four miles south of the Rensselaer exit).
Preliminary investigation revealed that a black female had sustained life threatening injuries. When the trooper arrived a male was attempting to do CPR on her. The occupants of the white 2002 Buick Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) were coming from Chicago headed to Indianapolis.
The female, identified as Rachael Savanna Woods, 20 of South Bend, was airlifted to Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis where she later died of her injuries
One of the occupants, Nathan Huey-Dingle, 30 of Chicago, was arrested and taken to Jasper County Jail for an outstanding warrant. Huey-Dingle, who was still in jail on the above warrant, was charged Monday, September 17th, with the murder of Rachael Woods.

- Aggravated Battery-Class B Felony
- Promoting Prostitution-Class C Felony
- Intimidation-Class D Felony
- Criminal Confinement-Class D Felony
- Two counts of Operating While Intoxicated-Misdemeanors
