Knox County – Sunday, September 16, at approximately 3:20 a.m., Indiana State Police and Knox County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a residence located at 2424 Hillcrest Drive in Vincennes after a vehicle had collided into a home and then fled.

Approximately 15 minutes later police were told the suspect vehicle was at 509 East Bud Road near Wheatland and the driver was attempting to break into the residence.  When police arrived they found Lance Marley, 22, of Vincennes, physically fighting with the homeowner.  Marley was taken into custody without further incident.  Further investigation revealed Marley had intentionally rammed the home on Hillcrest Drive in Vincennes before driving to Wheatland.  Marley then allegedly forced his way into a relative’s home on Bud Lane by breaking open a locked door and shattering an adjacent window before fighting with the homeowner. Marley was taken to the Knox County Jail where he is currently being held on bond.  The investigation is continuing.

3. Driving While Intoxicated, Class A Misdemeanor
