Entry Description
Harrison County- This afternoon, Master Trooper Mark Strange from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg served an arrest warrant on Robert Baumgardner, 27, from Elizabeth, IN. The arrest warrant was issued out of the Clark County Circuit Court #3.
The arrest warrant stemmed from an investigation that began on August 16th, when the Indiana State Police received a call from a Clark County pharmacist about a suspected stolen forged prescription for Methadone. The prescription was written out to Robert Baumgardner.
During the investigation it was determined by investigators that Robert Baumgardner had allegedly been in possession of the stolen forged prescription and had taken it to the Clark County pharmacy to be filled.
The Clark County arrest warrant was served on Robert Baumgardner who is currently incarcerated in the Harrison County Jail on unrelated charges.
Robert Baumgardner was charged with Obtaining a Controlled Substance by Fraud, D Felony;
Possession of a Controlled Substance, D Felony and Theft, D Felony. The theft charges stem from Robert Baumgardner allegedly stealing syringes and a tourniquet from a local physician’s office.
All subjects are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. |
